Genesis ~ A Trick Of The Tail UK LP Charisma CDS 4001. Released 1976
 
Stunning original UK 1st Pressing with both A//1 B//1 matrix and importantly the sleeve is manufactured by Bruin BV with a credit for B&C records address of 37 Soho Square, London.  The latter sleeve characteristics are important as soon after release the manufacture of the sleeves was completed by Robor Ltd and Charisma moved offices to Old Compton Street.

Outer Sleeve: EX+
 
The delicate outer gatefold sleeve is the correct press Bruin manufactured sleeve that is only found on true first run editions. This particular sleeve is often found in poor condition and suffers from fading and it attracts dirt very easily due to the rather soft and flexible nature of the sleeve, something which is a characteristic of all Bruin made sleeves through the years.
 
This sleeve is in top condition.  It is extremely clean with only the occasional small area which has a very light amount of discolouration.  There is absolutely no fading to the spine or edges which is very rare, and the edges are unworn.  This is a superb example of this sleeve and it would be extremely hard to upgrade from this.  
 
Vinyl: EX+
 
Many would grade as Near Mint, but although I grade conservatively, this is a really super copy with only a very few feint hairlines visible under bright halogen light. There is a beautiful deep black shine to the vinyl, this copy has only been play a few times and displays little signs of use. Fantastic final upgrade copy.

Labels: Near Mint ~ Clean, and with no significant marks. Under a bright light a few light spindle lines can be seen.
 
Inner Sleeve: Mint : The custom inner sleeve features the characters from the album and it is in absolutely stunning condition. There is also a generic inner poly lined sleeve in which the LP is stored. A previous owner has added the details of the LP to the outside of this sleeve
 
Overall this a real gem, and it would be difficult to find another 1st press copy of this LP in such magnificent condition.
 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high grade type which re-inforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use. Despite using high quality packing materials, I only charge the actual costs of postage.
