Description: This item is a privately recorded Presto aluminum base acetate disc that was probably professionally recorded based on the excellent sound quality. The selections are from 2 different Eddie Condon Floor Show television programs during 1949. 
The first all star band consists of Bobby Hackett (cnt), Peanuts Hucko (clt), Freddie Ohms (tbn), Gene Schroeder (pno), Jack Lesberg (bs) and George Wettling at the drums. The program date is listed as 9 November 1949. They play "I Found a New Baby" which has a vocal by Jack Palmer who composed the original song.
The flip side has another all star group that consists of Bobby Hackett (cnt), Peanuts Hucko (clt), Ernie Caceres (bar), Ray Diehl (tbn), Dick Cary (pno), Jack Lesberg (bs) and the fabulous Buddy Rich at the drums. The program date is listed as 7 May 1949 and they play "California Here I Come". Buddy Rich is featured with a full chorus drum solo.
To the best of my knowledge and after checking various discographies, neither of these performances have ever been issued on record. They are worthwhile renditions especially "California Here I Come" which is sparked by Buddy Rich.
Disc Condition: The disc in VG++ to E- condition with a few surface scuffs and a few light scratches but the disc is a clean player and in Excellent sound quality. There is no peeling or flaking of the acetate. As you can see in the photos, besides the native Presto labels there are 2 other labels with the tune titles and dates typewritten. These labels have come unglued and were tucked into the green sleeve. Also, the green sleeve has a label with the same tune and date info.
