Insanely rare 1st US pressing factory sealed copy of Nirvana’s 2nd and most commercially successful album released on September 24, 1991. This is NOT the Columbia House pressing with the CRC designation on the back cover above the barcode. The original factory shrink wrap with the 90s style series of breathe holes is fully intact and doesn’t have any splits, tears or missing pieces. This copy, just like all of the issues of this album comes with a custom black-and-white printed paper inner sleeve. One side features a photo of the band along with production credits. The reverse (appearing upside-down when rotating vertically) features select song lyrics and photo by Kurt Cobain of a rubber monkey he owned. Inside this sealed copy you’ll find the black David Geffen Company labels with the “DGC” logo and DGC-24425 catalog number which can also be found on the inner sleeve and cover. Besides the “DGC”, the back cover contains the Sub-Pop logo next to the 1st pressing identifier “Recycling” symbol (♻️) along with the “Produced by special arrangement with Sub Pop Records” credit. It’s simply impossible to find a factory sealed 1st pressing copy of this album nowadays, especially in such a beautiful Mint condition. The copy was acquired in New York in October, 1991 and has remained unopened by its owner since then. Among our current listings you’ll also find an incredibly rare original large promotional advertisement “Nirvana Nevermind” music store mobile display.
