The Beatles 'The Alternative (Working Version) Of Rubber Soul' bootleg CD. A wonderfully detailed CD featuring unreleased songs, alternative unreleased demo takes, home demos, unreleased mixes, 1965 interviews / promo features and much more. This comprehensive package also features a selection of wonderful extras.

The CD brings together an huge collection of 31 tracks recorded during and around the time of the Rubber Soul album. John Lennon is quoted as describing Rubber Soul as “….the first album on which The Beatles were in complete creative control during recording”.

It is during these recording sessions the Beatles were allowed enough studio time to develop and refine new sound ideas which would subsequently lead to the masterpieces - ‘Revolver’ and ‘Sgt Pepper’.

This CD features some simply magnificent tracks. A few of my personal highlights are: Paul’s home demo of ‘We Can Work It Out’, 3 very different takes of ‘Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)’, take 4 John Barrett mix of ‘I’m Looking Through You’ WOW, the FULL 6:40 minute version of ’12 Bar Original’ (the anthology version is heavily edited at 2:55 minutes) and ‘The Lost Beatles 1965 Christmas Message’ (unreleased and 12 minutes long).

The package included here is the finest bootleg edition of Rubber Soul I have ever seen. As the versions included here are unreleased it is designed to look like a acetate copy of the album.

• Accurate reproduction Emidisc acetate CD label design.
