Having toured relentlessly, released two LPs, established a label and opened their own record shop/community hub, Sunderland’s Frankie & The Heartstrings have spent the past four years establishing themselves as Britain’s most pro-active indie band.
In their time away from the Pop Recs counter, the quintet have now found time to deliver their third studio album, recorded at Leeds’ Suburban Homes studio with Hookworms’ MJ at the controls.
With the departure of Mick Ross, Decency is the quintet’s first to feature Ross Millard (also a member of The Futureheads) on guitar, yet the shifting lineup has done nothing to harm their knack for the perfect pop song.
Featuring the single Think Yourself Lucky and well-established live favourite Berlin Calls, the end result is arguably their finest work to date.
