Rossini String Sonatas Marriner UK Argo ZRG 506
Cellist Kenneth Heath and Double Bassist, John Gray with the Academy of St-Martin-in-the-Field directed by David Marriner perform the “String Sonatas” No’s 1, 3, 5, and 6 of Rossini. An English pressing on the Argo Label (ZRG 506 stampers 1G/1G), the labels are green with silver lettering and a large oval Argo logo. The record is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has a hint of a ring with a few creases and has a faded strip along the bottom edge.
