CHARLES MINGUS - Tijuana Moods LP RCA Records LPM 2533 Original mono pressing with deep groove labels.

Mingus himself said it was his best album, only to be put on the shelf in 1957 after recordings were done. Released five years later in 1962 many were baffled at the wonderful sound of Clarence Shaw who played trumpet on the sessions. He had quit music and couldn't be found until he resurfaced in the late 1960's and recorded on Argo Records.

Stellar session with Clarence Shaw, Jimmy Knepper, Shafi Hadi and others. Lonnie Elder does a great spoken word. Very awesome LP! See photos for complete details.

LP in strong VG Condition. A couple small marks on each side, both sides play through without any issues. A very enjoyable listen, nothing overpowering music. A couple spindle trails on labels.

COVER in VG+ Condition. Some shelf wear, corner bumps. Small '10' in ink on back cover bottom right corner. Solid seams/spine with light wear on top seam but no splits. (See pictures, feel free to ask any questions)
