J.C. HEARD – THIS IS ME, J.C. HEARD – ARGO 633 M-/EX – KANGAROO-SPLIT-PAK – MONO

Here is one you don't see that often. This Argo session was recorded in Chicago on March 6, 1958, featuring J.C. Heard on drums, and vocals, Joe Newman on trumpet, Benny Powell on trombone, Frank Wess on alto, tenor and flute, Charlie Fowlkes on baritone, Ronnie Bright on piano, Johnny Pate on bass, Dave Heard and J.C. Heard on drums. SIDE 1: FOR YOU MY LOVE; COASTING WITH J. C., NIGHTINGLALE and HEARD THE WORD. SIDE 2: CUBAN CHANT; BLUES FOR SALE and IDAHO. This LP record jacket is split in the middle and advertised as the “Kangaroo-Split-Pak”. It didn’t last long, especially if you have your LPs stacked upright and you end up with half a cover! It is, however, a novelty item. This is MONO recording.

I’ve graded the vinyl as M- and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides. There is no sign of wear in or around both sides of the spindle hole. The record jacket is in excellent condition, considering how it was manufactured. There is a small taped seam on the top of the spine and a very small taped area in the middle on the cover, just below the circle that has “J.C.” printed. There are a few signs of wear, but you an see its condition in the photo below. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
