This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Sonny Rollins ”Volume 2” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1558. Side 1 is in excellent condition, with no visible wear or flaws; Side 2 has two light inaudible scuffs and an occasional non-repetitive tic on Track 2. The laminated West 63rd cover is bright and clean throughout; chipping along the right edge of the back slick; 1 ¼” wear along the top of the spine.
Personnel include Jay Jay Johnson, Thelonious Monk, Paul Chambers, and Art Blakey.
