The SPEAKERS were one of the most important 60's garage rock & psych bands from South America.The band closely followed all the "INSIDER" bands of the era, Beatles, Stones, Yardbirds, Animals, etc replicating their own versions of decided greatness and spanned the entire mid 60's to early 70's issuing several important highly desired albums - not a weak one in their discography.
From the start they were on the reverb guitar led surf garage scene propelled by bongos in the sand, their first Lp "The Speakers" remains one of the best of the style, from 1964. By 1965 the group were drenched in the British Invasion. This is the LP era represented here, still in such remarkable shape. Spinning tracks straight from their own hands meaning no additives like horns or arrangements , just the stripped down band led by guitar and Farfisa organ, bass, drums, vocals. Whether the SPEAKERS takes on the Stones, Beatles, Yardbirds, etc - it's usually the best coolest tracks by those bands and including their own self composed tunes fitting right in. By the end of the sixties THE SPEAKERS released an album extremely psychedelic , flipped out with acid affects interluding, their by then, full album of original SPEAKERS compositions. The vinyl: Rated: "EX"(excellent) to M- as well, light use can be detected in sun bright reflection,yet looking in normal lighting the grooves are gonna appear near M- ...the best news both sides play enjoyably up to standards one could ever hope for coming from this teen-scene era far off in another land.
