This item is not for sale. Gripsweat is an archive of past sales and auctions, none of the items are available for purchase.

For sale is a first edition vinyl release of Faust Ballet Music / Carmen Suite with Alexander Gibson conducting the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden (RCA Victor Red Seal, LM-2449).

This first edition on the shaded dog record label is a first edition pressing featuring the matrix 1S / 1S Stampers.

Disc is VG+ with some light inner sleeve scuffs and a some superficial scratches. Plays with faint occasional pops and some hiss which is present on and off, noticeable more during quiet parts. Given that this is a recording with on and off quiet moments the surface noise can be expected to be heard during those times. Side two has less surface noise.

Jacket is VG with noticeable edge breaks/cracking and light wear to the covers. Being this pressing is fifty seven years old, the jacket is not in mint condition. It shows storage and ring wear as well as a 5" split along top opening edge, 2" center spine split. With the condition it's in now please know that more handling will likely further split the edges since it's fragile.
