Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is gorgeous NM-, a beauty!  The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, played a small number of times and handled with care.  Plays beautifully with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean and pristine with no spindle trail marks.   You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy anywhere!

JACKET:  Jacket is nice VG+ with no major issues.   Front artwork is clean and bright; with a slight bit of scraping at the top left along the spine.  Seams show some rubbing wear in places, but no splits.  Reverse is clean and white; the original retail price sticker is affixed at upper left.  No writing or other issues.  Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the superb disc.

“..Features the first Cannonball Adderley Quintet, a group that despite its talents failed commercially.  With Cannonball on alto, cornetist Nat Adderley, pianist Junior Mance, bassist Sam Jones, and drummer Jimmy Cobb, it is surprising that the group did not make it, but the Adderleys were fairly unknown at the time.  The music is quite bop-oriented, bluesy but not as soulful as it would be when Cannonball put together a new group in 1959.. highly recommended to bop fans.”
