JACKIE MCLEAN “Jackie’s Bag” FIRST PRESSING Blue Note 4051 Rare Mono Vinyl This is the First Pressing, 1961, “RVG” stamped, Deep Groove, P-pressing of JACKIE MCLEAN’s “Jackie’s Bag” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 4051. VINYL: opening of each side plays with loud pops and ticks that diminish as the side continues. After track 1 of each side, the pops and ticks diminish greatly and only sound infrequently. Many spots dead quiet. Ensemble sections are very dynamic and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Good gloss. Handful of non feelable hairline marks, some quite long. A couple scuffed sections are feelable. (If you can't feel it you won't hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean. See photos. COVER is in Very Good shape, corners worn. Seams and spine taped though bottom seam and spine not split, but in very good shape beneath the tape. Long split on top seam. Small scuffs bottom bottom jacket near seam. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st, New York 23, N.Y." back jacket is super clean. PLease see photos. This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system.
