DONALD BYRD "I’m Tryin’ To Get Home” FIRST PRESSING Blue Note 4188 Mono Vinyl This is the FIRST PRESSING, "VAN GELDER" stamped, P-pressing of DONALD BYRD’s "I’m Tryin’ To Get Home” on the "New York” labels of Blue Note BLP 4188. VINYL plays with consistent light to medium level surface noise, pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are dynamic and strong, clear, clean and powerful above the noise. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Good gloss. Clean surface. A few non feelable hairline marks. The "New York” labels are clean with spindle marks. See photos. COVER is in EXCELLENT shape, corners slightly worn. Seams and spine show some cracking but no splits. The "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23" BACK JACKET is clean with black marker cursive writing. Please see photos.
