HORACE SILVER QUINTET “Silver’s Serenade” FIRST PRESSING Blue Note 4131 Mono Vinyl This is the first edition, 1958, “VAN GELDER” stamped, Laminated Cover, P-pressing of HORACE SILVER QUINTET’s “Silver’s Serenade” on the "New York” labels of Blue Note BLP 4131. VINYL plays well with very light, low level surface noise, some pops and ticks. But ensemble sections are very dynamic and clear. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Good gloss. Clean surface. A handful of non-feelable hairline marks. (If you can feel it you won’t hear it) The “New York” labels are clean with spindle marks. See photos. LAMINATED COVER is in very good shape, laminate very glossy, corners worn, super shiny, Seams and spine excellent shape. “Blue Note Records Inc., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket is clean, some wrinkling top and bottom, “CC-B” stamped. Please see photos.
PLEASE NOTE: The description of this LP is LITERAL. If you are expecting a mint, NM, OR super clean LP, DO NOT BID ON THIS RECORD. If YOU ARE NEW TO VINYL, do NOT expect a MINT, CLEAN LP. STARTING PRICE REFLECTS CONDITION. “Surface noise, pops and ticks” EQUALS the as noted level of surface noise, pop and ticks. THANKS!!
