Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.
OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.
Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.
We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
Thank you for your interest and support.

MEGA RARE 1967 ORIGINAL COOL 1967 REVERB/TEMELO GUITAR FUELED GARAGE ROCKER P.J. ORION AND THE MAGNATES USA - MAGNATE RECORDS MEGA RARE 1967 ORIGINAL!!! Probably only 500 made and sold at concerts or given away as promotional ... one of the legendary '60s teen scene garage rock collectibles! Most of you, including the seasoned record collector veterans have NEVER seen this Lp, outside of a photo perhaps - the Lp, so scarce, was valued at $500+ back in the 1990's ...almost NEVER ever turns up ... CONDITION: The cover: thick cardboard cover holds the true original colors - a great charming '60s period piece ...still very solid all over; rated: "EX" (excellent) = NICE collection copy ... has no split seams, no bends, no writing ... The vinyl: is still all very shiny over both sides; as to be expected has (some) light hairlines and such visually, weak VG+ but plays fantastic - heard only a little bit of light surface in spots, nothing bad at all, rather the main body of music on the whole plays very enjoyable via the electrified vibrant deep groove pressing, in excellent audio levels ... CLEAN PRIVATE PRESS "MAGNATE" labels
A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONE'S COLLECTION ! SEE: SELLERS OTher items for similar cool sounds for "head" people... EFFICIENT/CAREFUL GRADING All imperfections are noted both cover & record
The band members belonged to wealthy Greek shipping families (hence "Magnates") and were students at the Groton prep school in Massachusetts -- of the numerous"prep-garage-rockock" albums to be released on small or private labels by prep school students in the mid-'60s, (see; Risig Storm, Ha'Penny's, Foul Dogs, Rasputin & The Monks, etc) ... The self-titled one by "P.J. Orion & The Magnates", recorded in New York City is among the better - more solid ones. The tracks are very inspired tracks with the bands own special ingrediants of songs like "As Tears Go By", "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place","Eve Of Destruction", "Under The Boardwalk", "Sheila", "Love Minus Zero", "What Have They Done to the Rain", "Bells Of Rhymney", and "Gloria". And all of them are done in a garage-like Byrds style, with the kind of jangly electric guitar arrangements in which "The Byrds" specialized, though these aren't as sophisticated which gives them the cool charming edge found only in true '60s efforts. For all that, these are pretty well executed, and "P.J. Orion & The Magnates" must have been a good choice to play at high school dances back in the day.
Though very rare in its original pressing, the record became fairly well-known among '60s garage rock collectors after getting repressed in small quantity some 32 years ago...now this pressing is very rare.
