The Beatles  Please Please Me
Parlophone (PCS 3042) Uk Stereo album,

Run-off grooves- YEX  94-1 / 95-1

The sleeve has no Stereo written to the right of the top white band although on close inspection Mono can be seen, the Mono has been whitened out by the company before lamination so presumably an earlier sleeve was used for this pressing?
Photo: Angus McBean is printed bottom right hand side of the front sleeve. Bottom fold over flap has Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, Patents pending, PMC 1202.  PCS 3042.  and Recording first published 1963.
The labels have The Gramophone Co Ltd, Made In Great Britain,
The run-off grooves are- 1) YEX 94-1, with 3 at quarter to and PH at quarter past. 2) YEX 95-1, with 1 at twenty to and PA at quarter past.

Condition- The heavy duty record looks Ex+ very clean with original high gloss shine and no scratch marks, the album spins flat and every track plays Mint- with no sticks, jumps, scratches or surface noise, in between tracks is very clean sounding, a tiny bit of surface noise can be heard with the high turned full up in between a few tracks only, the album plays with perfect clear sound quality from start to end.
Both labels are Mint- very clean with no writings, no marks or spindle lines. both show no signs of ever being played.
The flip-back sleeve with no barcode is in at least Ex- condition, fully intact with no split seams, no rips, writings or stains, the 3 flip-overs are fully intact with no damage, the 3 edges are perfect, opening edge has just light use, the spine with the 2 pinched ends is fully readable with no damage,  still in really nice condition.
The EMI inner sleeve, made and printed in Great Britain is Ex- very clean with no sticker marks, rips or split seams, it does have a small number and price written neatly in the top right corner as can be seen in the photo'

Unlike the later pressings, these earlier stereo pressings were pressed on heavy duty vinyl and played with superb sound quality, as both labels show, this copy has rarely been played and won't need up grading, the sleeve which is laminated on the front and matt on the back is in great shape for a sleeve of this age, most come with damaged flaps and have seen much better days.
