PINK FLOYD: "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II) " /  "One Of My Turns" 7" ORIGINAL UK SINGLE
PRESSED JANUARY, 1980.   IN THE VERY RARE MATT, "The Wall" PICTURE SLEEVE,  WITH TWO FLIPBACK
EDGES WITH ROUNDED EDGES ON THE BACK.

I have named this record 'original' because it was pressed in January, 1980, not December, 1979. normally I would not even be
that accurate because those few weeks for a huge selling No.1 singles are of meaningless.  Had EMI not slightly changed the
3 o'clock letters in the run-out grooves to to digits, there would be way of distinguishing between late 1979 and early 1980.
Especially when there is a '1' digit mother at 9 o'clock, the maitrix on both sides is precisely as found on very first pressings
and the record is in a rare, first pressing only picture sleeve.  The small indexing change from January, 1980 would only last
for 18 months anyway!   That should be enough but here are the actual facts, "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)" was at No.1
in the UK charts 1st December, 1979 and remained in the charts for three months, spending twice as long in 1979 than in 1980.
Any record made before or during the chart duration, is by definition, a first issue / first pressing / original / first edition,
from that, there are 'very first pressings', middle pressings' and end pressings.  Using up a few remaining or overlooked 7"
picture sleeves simply had to place this pressing in the middle section, therefore the first week of January.  When offering a
rare unplayed a first issue / first pressing / original / first edition "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II) " record, in a rare
stunning Mint- condition picture sleeve, even discussing a few weeks into manufacturing a No.1 single, is a pointless
exercise.  I always aim at 100% accuracy will give the full indexing below and I can make a direct comparison to a very first
pressing sold in 2014 on ebay. That was an EMI "Factory Sample" and part of a Pink Floyd collection bought from Pink Floyd's
music publisher's former executive.

THE A-SIDE HAS A "Wall" PICTURE LABEL AND "One Of My Turns" PICTURE LABEL FEATURES UNIQUE
Gerald Scarfe ARTWORK, A WINDOW IN THE  BRICKS, WITH ORANGE CURTAINS EACH SIDE.

HARVEST LABEL:  HAR 5194

MAITRIX:  HAR 5194  A - 3U  / HAR 5194  B - 1U
The previously sold "Factory Sample" had exactly the same maitrix, so were the 'mother' stamping codes, this record was also
from the same first & second mothers per side, as shown Immediately below.

EMI'S STAMPING CODES IN THE RUN-OUT GROOVES: 170   1 / 201    2

ALSO IN THE RUN- OUT GROOVES ARE THE NACHINE STAMPED MASTERING LOGO'S:
SIDE 1:TML - S SIDE 2:TML - M
That mass of information belongs exclusively of a first pressing, I believe this record was pressed after the 1979 Christmas
period, still in 1979, EMI were beginning to change  3 o'clock letters in the run-out grooves to to digits.  I try to be flexible
but this is absurd to consider this record and rare picture sleeve anything but a first edition, 'original' has the same meaning
and does not make claims beyond the reality of vinyl manufacturing in an era of constant and unstable indexing formats.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING CONDITION, SIDE OPENING PICTURE SLEEVE,  A GENUINE LATE 1979 FIRST EDITION.
Like UK "The Wall" album cover, this was also made from matt cardboard and the white background to the bricks was not pure white,
more an ivory colour.   The back has two flipback edges at the top and bottom, with a shaped opening to access the record from, just
like so many EMI 1960's EP's.  The outstanding quality is rarely seen today, a huge selling single but virtually all are stained,
creased and severely worn, the storage was so perfect there is hardly even a record impression, there is nothing to detail here,
all the corners, the opening sides and edges etc. are just astonishing for this particular light colour picture sleeve.  Even the
flipback edges were very carefully  glued without any glue spillage to stain them, to allow for fractional ageing over the last 38
years, a token minus suffix will be added to the grading, while stressing no stains, handling or rubbing and 100% flat.
THE PICTURE SLEEVE IS IN MINT- CONDITION.

THE RECORD IS IN UNPLAYED, MINT CONDITION.
Even when I am 100% certain a record was not played, I still inspect them for factory handling because all records were placed
inside sleeves by hand, I could not find anyl trace of that factory handling.

Pink Floyd's first UK single since the 1968 "Point Me At The Sky" in 1968, was also their first single to enter the UK charts
since June, 1967, Syd Barrett's "See Emily Play".   December 1st, 1979, Roger's incredible "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)"
was sitting at No.1 and resided in the UK charts for three months.  So a huge selling single, in all the long years I have sold
Pink Floyd records, I had never seen a Mint record in a Mint sleeve...since November, 1979, until that collection began to be
sold.   That  means this is only the second time I have ever listed "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)" on ebay.  That was
an extremely long time to wait and even then, it took an ultimate Pink Floyd collection from within the music business to produce
the first I listed on ebay.  That completes the pressing details, I'm sure nobody needs the background to the tracks, whenever
I list the "The Wall," just about every track of the double album is described in great detail, I will not play the record myself
because regardless of being No.1, I have sold more Mint 1960's Pink Floyd singles than "Another Brick In The Wall (Part II)."
That is a true statement and I am of course including the picture sleeve in that, 1979 - early 1980 was much closer to the 1960's
decade than 2017 is.

    R & M RECORDS.

My lifetime's love of music and records began at a very young age, the arrival of the Beatles and the 1960's decade
in general had a very profound effect. It was only natural to bring all my first hand experience of collecting vinyl
into becoming a professional record seller.  Nearly thirty years ago we entered into the wonderful atmosphere
of record fairs with the highest possible standards set. When the Internet became the world's new market place for
vinyl, in 2001 it was time to join ebay. Those standards were rigidly adhered to as they will always continue to be,
the basics of honesty and integrity were very much part of the era the music I love originated in, so here is our friendly
and very efficient service we are proud to provide;

EVERY RECORD IS FULLY PLAYED AND COMES WITH A 'NO ARGUMENT' MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.
I USE GOOD OLD COMMON SENSE AS WELL AS A GLOBALLY ACCEPTED GRADING TERMINOLOGY
FROM THE U.K. "RECORD COLLECTOR PRICE GUIDE" BOOK.
THERE IT CLEARLY STATES "Sound Quality" AFFECTS EVERY GRADING LEVEL AND THAT IS THE ONE
AND ONLY POSSIBLE WAY TO ACCURATELY GRADE RECORDS. i.e. COMBINING A STRICT VISUAL
INSPECTION WITH VERY CLOSELY LISTENING TO EVERY SECOND, UNLESS PERHAPS IN THE CASE
OF GENUINELY UNPLAYED VINYL.  EVEN THEN WE STILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR A RECORD
WHEN A CUSTOMER RECEIVES EITHER A SEALED OR AN UNPLAYED RECORD.

We take 100% responsibility after an item has been posted and offer our fullest support in the event of any problems.
"There Are No Problems, Only Solutions" (John Lennon)
MY DESCRIPTIONS WILL ALWAYS BE 100% HONEST AND TOTALLY ACCURATE ON ALL GRADINGS

We have kept all our charges at the same level for years now, but due to the Post Office's new price increases, regretfully we
will have to increase the cost of LP's, however, singles will remain unchanged.  Ebay were aware of that happening and have
increased their minimum postal cost for LP's to £7.00, that figure has been enforced by the UK Post Office and it will become
our UK First Class, Recorded Delivery cost for albums up to the value of £46.  A temporary reduction this week means we can
now post LP's for £5, but who knows how long before the Post Office return to £7?

For LP's valued above £46, the cost will be £9, we are unhappy about either increase but our high standard of packaging has meant
in 13 years of ebay trading, there has not been one record damaged, we are determined to maintain that in the present and future.

IN THE UK RECORDS UP TO THE VALUE OF £46 WILL BE SENT RECORDED DELIVERY, OVER £46 WILL BE
SENT SPECIAL DELIVERY.
FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD ALL RECORDS WILL BE SENT VIA 'INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR.'
