PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. 100% Original 1970 first pressing in thick gatefold cover ... the 2nd Lp by The BUBBLE PUPPY who changed their name...to DEMIAN

By 1970 Bubble Puppy was embroiled in an ever nastier series of legal confrontations with their Texas-base label International Artists. Relocating to California in hopes of getting some legal support from the musicians union, bassist Roy Cox, drummer David Fore and lead guitarists Todd Potter and Rod Prince became friendly with the band Steppenwolf, picking up a mentor in Steppenwolf bassist Nick St. Nicholas. Officially killing off Bubble Puppy the quartet reappeared as Demian, quickly scoring a recording contract with ABC Records (coincidently Steppenwolf's label). Released the following year, 1971's cleverly titled "Demian" found them teamed with Nicholas in the producer's chair. Recorded at L.A.'s Record Plant, material such as 'Faces the Crowd', 'Windy City' and 'There You Go with My Baby' found the quartet largely abandoning their psychedelic-tinged past in favor of an above average collection of Steppenwolf-styled hard rock. Full of tasty Potter/Prince twin guitars ('Coming' was particularly good), and tight group harmonies it may not have been the year's most original offering, but still managed to blow away most of the competition. Elsewhere, the only misstep was the band's ill advised step into country-rock ('Love People'). Unfortunately, on the heels of a brief Texas tour the group collapsed.

This lost hard-psych classic is in fact the second album by Texan psych legends Bubble Puppy.

Recorded late at night at the celebrated Record Plant in Los Angeles, it’s a stupendous blend of tough rock riffs, glorious melodies and biting psychedelic guitar, but was sorely under-promoted on its original release in 1971, causing the band to splinter the following year.

CONDITION: The cover: thick gatefold cover, front and back rated: VG as moisture at one time has affected lower portion of front and back (lower only) otherwise light shelf rub starting. Inside gatefold is clean with bit of light discoloration ... the front & back cover suffers at lower portion from other cover particles sticking on the Demian cover, IF you have the time (we don't) these particles can meticulously be removed by plain damp water, or other solvent, perhaps. Also lower cover is slightly uneven (very little) from one time moisture. There are no soft areas, all parts of the front & back gatefold are stiff ... As it is the cover is hard to find without wear anyway. No split seams, no writing, no delete marks,

The vinyl: both sides glossy, rated: near M- plays with minty-clean fidelity. Both ABC labels are clean

A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONE'S COLLECTION !
