PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates.               USA - MGM RECORDS - SE 4600

...VERY RARE to find third LP, far lesser seen and LAST album by the storied psychedelic band from the '60s

THE ULTIMATE SPINACH ... here's thee Original 1969 first pressing ... the third (3rd) and last Lp is also their hardest to find, by far...almost all copies have a lot of shelf wear, the cover did not wear well...this is one is a collection worthy copy with clean VINYL- ....think twice!!!

Leading this Ultimate Spinach crew is original singer Barbara Hudson and members from another East Coast psych band, Chameleon Church. Playing lead guitar on "U.S. III" was a cat who would go on to great success. Jeff "Skunk" Baxter was a young session guitarist extraordinaire, who eventually slung his axe as a member of both Steely Dan ...Granted, Ultimate Spinach "3" is a totally different sound... Gone are the alien lyrics, extended sitar solos and psychedelic ambient spaciness, but in its place is some pretty good blues-rock of the sort that was taking over America. There's only so much Psychedelia you can ask people to take.

So what we have here is a tragically under-rated album. Sure, some of these songs, namely "Some Days You Just Can't Win", are psychedelic cocktails with no actual structure of their own, but "Reasons" and "Happiness, Child" are excellent songs. On more than one occasion, some listeners have stated they found this album to be similar to Love's Forever Changes, particularly the creative arrangement on "Strange Life Tragicomedy" and the rhythm of "Back Door Blues". One of the most glaring problems it has is that the lead guitar is too quiet on multiple tracks, including "Back Door Blues" and "Eddie's Rush". Also, the opening cover of "Romeo and Juliet" is very respectable.

Album highlights include the heavy “Strange-Life Tragicomedy” with three- part male vocal harmonies toward the end. and The album closer guitar-driven “The World has Just Begun”.

Just Like Romeo and Juliet (2:33) Some Days You Just Can't Win (3:22) Daisy (2:21) Reasons (3:51) Eddie's Rush (6:52) Happiness, Child (4:42) Strange-Life Tragicomedy (4:13) Back Door Blues (2:56) World Has Just Begun (3:19)

CONDITION: The cover: TOP COPY, stiff, colorful, rated a nice "EX" (excellent) really special, this cover is wear prone and almost all copies have cover wear, here's an exception. Has a circle delete drill at bottom left as do most all copies. There are No split seams, no writing , no bends, and has strong original colors from 49 years ago

The vinyl: all clean and clear over both sides, M- looks and plays SO nice ... clean labels too... win this and you're with a top copy

CONDITION: The cover: Rated: VG+(+) All stiff & rigid all over but has slight contact rub starting on front and of course , as usual, more on the black back cover (VG+).
See photos. Still collection worthy plus the M- vinyl! One thing rare about this copy is there are NO delete marks when most all copies have them since. There are No split seams, no writing , no bends, and has strong original colors from 49 years ago

The vinyl: Rated: all clean and clear over both sides, M- looks and plays SO nice ... clean labels too... win this and you're with a top copy
