PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. TOP COPY! ===>>> STILL SEALED / NEVER PLAYED!

RARE....Original 1970 first pressing hard rockin' FAT with double guitar action and GREAT tunes melodies infused, has been a big hit with collectors when having the cool sound throughout both sides that are hunted for. They made two Lp's, but make no mistake, this is easier one to find even though it's "rare" too ... 49 years ago obscure underground hard psych of acclaim!

In support of the album RCA sent the band on the road opening for The Allman Brothers Band. While the debut didn't do much commercially the album generated some favorable critical buzz leading RCA management to ship the band back into the studio to record a sophomore album. The collection was completed, but before it could be released the band got caught up in a drug bust. RCA management reacted by dropping the band

First and best of two Lp's...1970 "Fat" is a fantastic and completely overlooked near-classic (a couple of online references say RCA only pressed 400 copies of this first USA album - even more rare is this 'never see' UK pressing). The Massachusetts-based quintet seemed to have everything required for major stardom - a great singer in Peter Newland, killer chops including two impressive lead guitarists in Michael Benson and James Kaminski, and a rock steady rhythm section in drummer William Benjamin and bassist Guy DeVito. That line up coupled with more than their share of first-rate material that was simultaneously tuneful and lyrically interesting made for a great LP. No wonder they met with zilch in terms of commercial success. With Benson, Kaminski and Newland sharing writing credits, tracks like 'House On the Corner', 'Mine Eyes Have Seen', the Cream inspired 'Country Girl', and the ballad 'Lonely Lady' were all tailor made for FM radio. All hyperbole aside, these guys had it all with GREAT tunes structured by pumping double guitars including razor leads!

(A) House On the Corner - 3:03 Black Sunday - 3:17 Mine Eyes Have Seen - 4:08 Lonely Lady - 4:43 Journey - 5:00 (B) Shape I'm In - 2:31 Country Girl - 5:44 Over the Hill - 3:12 Duck Sweat - 4:03 Highway - 6:02

CONDITION: Rated: STILL FACTORY SEALED ...never opened in 49 years!  The cellophane has come undone at top seam, but make no mistake, the album has never been opened - never played! There is a small delete cut at bottom right we almost missed seeing, there are no seam splits, no faded colors, no bends, no writing
Ages old discount store sticker on outer cellophane

Here, a collection keeper survivor, as far as obscure psych rock '60s / early '70s Lp's go.
