I will be listing quite a large number of rare Pink Floyd albums over the coming days and weeks. Why not add me as a favourite seller and get informed automatically when new items are listed.
For sale here is Pink Floyds second album from 1968, "A saucerful of secrets". This is the UK first pressing in mono. Cat number is SX6258 Matrices are 1 / T  and 1 / GD, so a VERY early pressing indeed.
Overall, with its 100% original parts, it is a quite exceptional example. This album is now 56 years old! Looks and plays amazingly well.
The cover is probably about as good as you will find. Only a slight hint of laminate creasing, sharp corners and just a little handling wear to the lead opening edges. The rear is spotlessly clean.  Gets a solid grade of excellent (EX).
The genuine inner sleeve advertises other album releases of the era, in a magenta print. No rips or tears. Just a little creasing. This grades a solid very good plus (VG+).
The vinyl visually really is incredibly clean. The only mark worthy of note is a small "smudge" on side 2. This is totally cosmetic, cannot be felt and most certainly has no effect on the superb audio. Visually graded excellent (EX).
Fully play-graded as below.
Referring to my pay-grading notebook, I have made very few comments at all. Simply that both sides start very quietly and play through with no issues whatsoever. I graded side 1 as the top side of excellent, playing with no noise. I graded side 2 exactly the same, with a final comment of "plays silently, or at least, very very near to it.
I am sure the winner will be well pleased with it, but I do offer a full return and refund policy if not delighted. This an absolute corker of a copy, and I find it hard to believe there are many better copies still knocking around 56 years later.
So hard to find such an early pressing in great condition like this one.
