PROFONDAMENTE NEL MOSTRO / MALINCONICA SERENITA' ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by ENNIO MORRICONE. Original Italian pressing on BEAT label (BTF 102), from 1977. Italian soundtrack mini masterpiece with spellbinding mood music from the giallo-esque thriller IL Mostro (a cult film directed by Luigi Zampa starring Johnny Dorelli / Sydney Rome and Yves Beneyton). Gorgeous female scat bossa with elegantly stoned fender rhodes and magical Brazilian rhythms throughout the soft funk ambience of MALINCONICA SERENITA. Not sure who the singer is (maybe sexy film starlet Sydney Rome who you see on the sleeve) but whoever it is, has a bewitching voice similar to Paola and Nora Orlandi / Edda Dell'Orso et al. Groovy muted trumpet solos most probably by top Italian jazz player, Oscar Valdambrini, and not Morricone. This is a beautifully structured theme, hypnotic and seductive with atmospheric syntheziser and infectious orchestral motifs too. Comped on Musique Dessinee 01 by Masao Maruyama for Disques Dessinee and also Morricone 2000 for the Dagored label. The PROFONDAMENTE, NEL MOSTRO theme is dreamy and cinematic with melancholic piano and strings. Classic Morricone double-sider ;) Superb production sound. Big record with certain Japanese collectors. Striking artwork sleeve with cool graphics. Rare OST 45!!!

Vinyl is in shiny M- condition overall regardless of a few hairlines from storage and some faded, old pressing residue marks. Some light surface noises and a few soft pops but most probably never played prior to the recording of our soundclip. Superb production sound. The soft card picture sleeve is in VG++ condition overall with ring creasing and some ring wear marks from storage. Some faint stains to middle area of front sleeve. Some light corner and edge wear in places. Rare OST 45!!!
