An original 1st press of No.2 on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1A/2A. Please note that the label design is ABSOLUTE 1st variation used. Publishing credits are split left AND right side. And the production and arrangement details are ABSENT. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with "Blind Man" text. All the original 1st copies should have this text showing. The text was deemed offensive and the record company had to make moves to censor it on later copies. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I could make out mothing more than a couple of very light marks - absolutely nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. If top quality audio is you bag then you need to take a serious look at this example. It's a truly clear and clean player all the way through. Even the lower-key tracks like 'Boardwark' - play as clean as a whistle. Expect nothing more than a few isolated crackles in a couple of spots per side. It's a belter! Soak it up...you will love it!
Cover (Vg+) These true 1st issue 'Blind Man' covers are difficult to find in top condition. Check out a lot of the other examples on-line...there's a lot of variation! But this example has survived the years well and is in rather rude health. The front can offer suffer laminate lift, but there's not really any exhibiting here. A few light creases at the opening and in the corners. But overall very impressive and flat looking. The rear is usually the area that sorts out the decent copies from the distinctly average. This one has avoided most of the effects of the ageing process - just the lightest touch in places. The flipbacks are all secure with a touch of slight damage down in the bottom right corner [minor]. The text on the spine is all legible with just a few stress creases. Overall the cover retains very nice rigidity. A very nice original example for sure!
