An original Mono 1st press of BB on the UK Decca label. Matrix 4A/3A.. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L mono gatefold cover. Also included is the original poly-lined Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) An absolute stormer of a copy and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very light and insignificant marks - nothing that would get remotely close to entering the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are seriously quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. This is about as good as it gets for audio - I certainly haven't witnessed any better. And I can assure you that BB on a mono copy, that is well preserved, is a very fine experience to behold. Lot of quiet acoustic passages...intricate movements..you need a really clean copy otherwise you're just going to get left disappointed. Don't settle for second best! Buy the best copy you can afford - because it makes sense for the long term. This copy aces it in all areas - I cannot fault it. You might detect a couple of isolated crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. FINAL UPGRADE - no sweat.
Cover (Ex) Difficult to find in tip top condition, but this example is a bit of a stunner. Lovely white front and rear which seems to have largely escaped the ageing process. There are no nicks or heavy creases or hidden nasties - just two tiny thumbnail creases [front&back]. The interior is immaculate..super clean and feels smooth to the touch. The spine is often a problem area - but this example is well above average. All text perfectly legible and only showing light compression in places [which is almost impossible to avoid]. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) No splits. Lightly aged in places.
