An original  very 1st press of WTB on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1N/1N. The perimeter text still reads 'Parlophone'  as per the '63 copies, and "recording 1st pub" is still present too. But, importantly, the track 'Money' exhibits the publishing credit 'Jobete' - these are the very 1st copies of WTB. I would estimate that this record was available for sale during the 1st two weeks of release in November 1963. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L Mono cover with the shadow faces. We also have the Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen the light use. Please be aware that there are a few light marks per side, and one semi-feelable one in 'Beethoven'. But I'm pleased to report after a thorough testing that, thanks to the pressing weight, the marks are insignificant enough not feature in the audio. That is a FULL GUARANTEE. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really nice and quiet, and the audio comes across with superb clarity. This is difficult to find on true early Beatles records due to their popularity - and particularly on the very 1tst press. The audio is addictive and delivery is superb from start to finish. Upbeat numbers are delivered with aplomb and the low-key numbers with a quiet background. Even 'Till There Was You' which is pretty fussy plays clean as a whistle. Expect nothing more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. This is phenomenal provenance, and a very impressive rendition.
Cover (Ex-) A lovely looking cover which has clearly been cared for down the years. Lovely clean, shiny, and flat cover with only one tiny thumbnail crease on the front. The rear, which is the usual problem area, has avoided much of the usual ageing process - just a touch here and there and a couple of minor grubby spots. All flipbacks are secure and totally intact. Edge wear is minimal and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Very nice!
