An original 1965 copy of the DEBUT on the UK Decca label - probably 18 months after 1st release. Matrix 1A/4A. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original Decca lined inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. By and large a very decent rendition of the Stones debut with great vibrancy and energy. It's not quite going to bother the top grades - so would be suitable for someone who can take slight imperfections in places. I detected a couple of ticks in 'Route 66'. But playback is pretty clean for the most part. I detected a bit of light static in a couple of tracks...e.g. in 'Honest I Do' & 'Tell Me' but nothing invasive. They just won't play as clean as the rest of the LP. Other than that expect a very nice reassuring rendition. Not perfect, but very respectable indeed.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and looking well above average as many from this period will be wrecked by this point in time. The front is in decent condition with just a few light creases - but no dreaded laminate lift. The rear has avoided most of the usual ageing that afflicts these covers. A couple of blemishes and a touch of surface wear in places. All flipbacks are intact annd secure. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Barely any ageing and no splits.
